About the PE7 liquid culture
The PE7 liquid culture is the seventh stabilized generation of the Penis Envy lineage of Psilocybe cubensis, selected by underground cultivators — possibly attributed to a grower known as "Joshua" around 2019 — for improved structural stability and a distinctive flower-wavy cap margin that sets PE7 apart from every other strain in the Heritage Series. Unlike the albino PE derivatives in this series, PE7 is not a leucistic culture: it retains a warm golden caramel to rust-brown cap pigmentation while sharing the thick, bulbous PE-family stem architecture and the generation-reinforced reputation for above-average potency. This makes PE7 the PE-lineage entry point for researchers who want the documented 7th-generation selectivity without the reduced melanin expression of OG APE or APE221.
Cloud920 isolated this strain under lab conditions and classifies it within its Heritage Series — the cluster of long-established cubensis genetics with the broadest cultivation track record. The Penis Envy lineage, from which PE7 descends through seven documented selection cycles, has been in continuous cultivation for well over 15 years — the depth of history that anchors all Heritage Series strains. What makes this PE7 culture distinctive
PE7 is not an albino strain. Caps are golden caramel to rust-brown — warm-toned rather than white — but the PE-family silhouette is unmistakable: bulbous, small-diameter caps measuring 1–4 cm that remain closed longer than standard cubensis, sitting atop thick, dense stems of 1–2.5 cm in diameter and 5–15 cm tall. The caps develop a wavy, flower-like margin at maturity — the defining aesthetic of this seventh-generation selection, and the feature that earned PE7 the informal designation "flower cap PE" in cultivation communities. Blue bruising across stem and cap tissue is strong. Spore prints are dark purple-brown. In the grain jar, PE7 mycelium forms pronounced rope-like growth cords — a feature more developed than in any other Heritage Series cubensis culture — making it visually identifiable even before fruiting. For researchers interested in comparing a pigmented PE selection with a lab-documented albino PE-lineage variant, the offers a direct morphological contrast with full Oakland Hyphae Cup data.
Origin and history of the PE7 strain
PE7 is a cultivated laboratory strain with no wild-collection origin. It represents the seventh isolation cycle from the original Penis Envy lineage, developed by underground mycologists — most likely in the late 2000s, with possibly a specific stabilized release attributed to a cultivator known as "Joshua" around 2019. The selection objective was structural stability and the unique wavy cap margin, alongside the sustained potency reputation of the PE family. The number "7" designates the generation of selection rather than a breeder's name. The PE parent lineage itself traces back to Rich Gee's Amazon collection and subsequent decades of propagation — a history deep enough to place PE7 firmly in Heritage Series territory despite its relatively recent stabilization as a named variant.
PE7 potency profile
No independent laboratory data from Oakland Hyphae or peer-reviewed scientific literature exists for PE7 specifically — the strain is absent from all documented Psilocybin Cup entries in the Slite source. Community consensus, based on its documented PE ancestry and the pattern of generational selection for density and tryptamine concentration, positions PE7 as a high-potency PE-family isolate. This should be read as an informed expectation derived from lineage rather than a certified measurement. Researchers who need documented lab data within the Heritage Series PE cluster are directed to the , where Oakland Hyphae Cup data places average total tryptamines at approximately 1.10%. As with all P. cubensis, substrate quality, harvest timing and drying temperature determine the achievable result.
What you receive in your Cloud920 syringe
You receive one 10cc syringe of Cloud920 PE7 Heritage Series mycelium, pre-loaded with a sterile needle. Mycelium is QC-verified for viability, sterility and characteristic PE7 morphology — including confirmation of the rope-growth pattern and the golden caramel cap signature — in a lab-controlled environment before every batch is sealed.
How to inoculate with this liquid culture
Cloud920 recommends 2-3 cc per small grain bag, 3-4 cc per medium bag and 4-5 cc per large bag. Cloud920's is a useful option if you want to expand the culture before inoculating a bag. PE7 colonizes at medium pace — plan for 3–4 weeks on grain before assessing readiness for fruiting conditions. Note that PE7's fruiting temperature window is 20–22 °C, slightly cooler than the standard cubensis range, and days to first harvest extend to 45–60 from inoculation — the longest cycle in the Heritage Series PE cluster. Store the syringe cool, dark and upright; use within the shelf life printed on the label.
Microscopy and research use only
This PE7 liquid culture is sold for microscopy and mycological research. Cultivation of psilocybin-producing fungi is regulated or prohibited in many jurisdictions — verify your local legislation before use.
Frequently asked questions
Is PE7 an albino strain like OG APE or APE221?
No — PE7 retains full golden caramel cap pigmentation. It is a seventh-generation selection from the Penis Envy lineage selected for structural stability and the distinctive flower-wavy cap margin, not for leucistic expression. It shares PE-family stem architecture and density, but the cap colour is warm-toned, not white.
How is a liquid culture different from a spore syringe?
A spore syringe contains spores that must first germinate before mycelium can form. A liquid culture already contains live, expanding mycelium — shortening colonization time by roughly two weeks and reducing contamination risk.
How should I store this Cloud920 syringe?
Refrigerate at 2–8 °C, upright, in the original sleeve. Keep away from direct light and freezing temperatures. Use within the shelf life printed on the label.
Why does this product say "for microscopy and mycological research"?
Cultivation of psilocybin-producing fungi is regulated or prohibited in many jurisdictions. This syringe is sold for microscopy and mycological research purposes only — check your local legislation before use.
Is this Cloud920 PE7 culture lab-verified?
Yes — every Cloud920 batch is produced in a lab-controlled environment with QC verification on viability, sterility and morphology — including confirmation of PE7's characteristic rope-growth mycelium — before the syringe is filled and sealed.

- Potent!! Not for New Growers Review by GodDidIt
-
I'm rating it 4 stars because of its difficulty in cultivation, otherwise, its a solid 5! Not suitable for the first time grower.Rating
If you do not own a sterile grow lab, its advisable you use a 1:1 or not more than 1:2, spawn:bulk ratio so you can curb the contamination issue.
Otherwise, I'm making another order! Good Quality Potent stuff!!!!! (Posted on 9/10/2025) - Pe7 Review by laurent
