CBD oil and capsules in our shop are food supplements made from European industrial hemp. They are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any disease. The information below is general background on cannabidiol (CBD) and full-spectrum hemp extracts.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol — usually abbreviated as CBD — is one of more than one hundred naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the hemp plant (Cannabis sativa L.). Unlike THC, CBD is non-intoxicating: it does not produce a high. Industrial hemp grown in the EU contains naturally low levels of THC (legally limited, in our products max 0.05%).
Cannabinoids are part of a larger group of compounds that the hemp plant produces alongside terpenes (aromatic molecules) and flavonoids (pigments and antioxidants). When all of these are kept together in the final extract, the result is called full-spectrum.
Full spectrum vs. isolate
A CBD isolate is purified down to a single compound — only CBD. A full-spectrum extract preserves the wider plant matrix: CBD alongside CBDA, CBG, CBN, CBC, terpenes such as myrcene, β-caryophyllene and limonene, and the plant's flavonoids. Many users prefer full-spectrum oils because they reflect the natural composition of the hemp plant rather than a single isolated molecule.
What does RAW mean?
The hemp plant primarily produces cannabinoids in their acidic form (CBDA, CBGA, THCA). Heat converts these acids into their more familiar neutral forms (CBD, CBG, THC) through a process called decarboxylation. A RAW extract is one that has been produced without an added heating step, so the original acidic cannabinoids and the heat-sensitive terpenes and flavonoids stay in the final oil. The result is a darker, more herbal-tasting oil with a broader cannabinoid profile.
How CBD oil is made
The products in this category use hemp grown in Austria, under EU agricultural standards. The flowers and aerial parts are gently extracted and the resulting hemp extract is blended with a carrier — cold-pressed hemp seed oil — to reach a defined percentage of CBD per millilitre. Capsules contain the same oil enclosed in a vegetarian HPMC shell. Each batch is analysed by an independent laboratory and the certificates of analysis are publicly available.
How to choose a strength
- 2.5% — a light, entry-level concentration. Approximately 0.8 mg CBD per drop. Suited to people new to CBD or who prefer a gentle daily intake.
- 5% — a moderate everyday concentration, available as oil and as 30-capsule packs (10 mg CBD per capsule).
- 10% — a higher concentration for users who want more CBD per drop (approximately 5 mg).
- 18% — a high-concentration RAW oil for experienced users. Fewer drops are needed to reach the same daily intake.
The maximum recommended daily intake for CBD as a food supplement in the EU is 70 mg per day. The label on each product states the CBD content per drop or capsule so you can stay within that limit.
Use and storage
CBD oils in this range are designed for sublingual use: place the drops under the tongue, hold for 30 to 60 seconds, then swallow. Capsules are swallowed whole with water. Store in a cool, dark place; keep out of reach of children. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or when taking prescription medication — consult your doctor first.
