What You'll Receive
Every short dated order is a surprise — we send out whichever kit has been in our storage the longest. You'll receive a random cubensis strain in one of three formats:
- FreshMushrooms® XP — 1200 ml grow kit, sealed in a clear plastic tub. Recognisable by the FreshMushrooms® label.
- GetMagic® — 1200 ml or 2100 ml grow kit. Recognisable by the GetMagic® label.
- Cloud920® Ready-to-Grow Bag — 2000 ml all-in-one grow bag (no plastic tub, just the bag).
- Cloud920® Classic XL — 2100 ml grow box (plastic tub with separate grow bag included).
The brand label on the box tells you exactly which kit you have — and which instructions to follow.
Why So Cheap? Are They Still Good?
Nothing is wrong with these kits. They're just close to their best-before date. All our mycelium grow kits come fresh from professional suppliers and, within two hours of arrival at our warehouse, every kit is labelled with the week number and moved into our industrial-sized cooled climate rooms.
The best-before date is six weeks after the week number on the sticker. As long as you start cultivation within that window, you'll get plenty of magic mushrooms out of it.
How Do I Know the Best-Before Date?
Each kit has a sticker on the box showing the week number it arrived at Magic Mushrooms Shop. Add six weeks to that number — that's your window. A second sticker tells you which strain you've received.
Start Growing the Moment It Arrives
This is the most important rule for short dated kits: start right away. Don't park it in the fridge for next weekend. If it's shipped to a parcel point or different address, collect it the same day. The whole point of short dated stock is that the clock is ticking — make every day count.
Which Instructions Should I Follow?
The brand label on your kit tells you which instructions to use. FreshMushrooms®, GetMagic® and Cloud920® each have their own step-by-step guide — covering sterile setup, fresh air exchange, watering, and harvesting.

The only thing you have to be careful with this kit is what type it is and how to prepare it, for i have soaked one overnight in the fridge instead one hour in lukewarm water :) and it still gave some yield! Otherwise 50 g of dry mushrooms with treasure coast, 40 g hawaii pes, in the winter obviously less cuz one mat doesn't reach ideal temperature. Deliverd in just a few days.
As this was my first time I did not 100% think I would have success.
How ever, after 2 weeks with airing and spraying. And building my own heatingmat. It started showing, and in 3 days they were all over the place.
Had a Great harvest, now I grow 3 other ones aswell. I love this, the process and the effects of use.
I Will keep doing this, and keep educating myself.
Probably I Will try to do the culture stuff in the future ????

delivery was very fast. compared to other shops i had ordered. had 2 short dated boxes, one mexican (fresh mushrooms). to be honest, didn't saw diference. ( short dated ones were mexican also). everyting was like instruction said. after two weeks, shrooms started to grow, after a week more, got my first flush. from all 3 growboxes got 4 flushes. just holded them near my home radiator in the bag. very easy to use. got around 40g fully dried shrooms. for me 3g is very nice visual hi medium trip / low high trip. for around 4-5 hours. but can manage to think straight. very visual. surfaces n everythng. waiting for the spring time to try them by the fire. thanks a lot to magic-mushrooms. doing great job. till nex time ;) (Posted on 1/26/2022)Rating - Good work! The package I got spelled MD on the top, and CAM on the side, so I supposed that it was a Mondo kit with Cambodian mushrooms.
It would have felt much nicer knowing for sure what it contained.
I have never had trouble with kits before from this shop, so this is my first absolute failure. Nothing happened for a month, and then green mould started gently spreading.
I'm gonna leave the cake inside a rotten tree trunk, maybe they can get a nw life next year in there.

The mushrooms were quite small and light compared to another kit I had. The inside of the stem was hollow for example, which the other kit didnt have, but this is maybe due to the strain difference? Basically the hollow stem made them lighter... First harvest produced alot of side and underpins which was solved by putting the cake on its side and having it fruit from all sides. I would probably recommend to get a monotub and put the cake in there instead of the bag though. All together I got 4 flushes out this kit and it now seems spent.Rating
Potency is alright. Of course i did not do any extractions and its all subjective, but compared to the other shrooms I've tried before they were pleasantly strong.
4 stars and not 5 stars due to the design of the grow kit, sidepins were impossible to prevent even though i taped the kit with black tape to prevent light from shining on the sides. Putting the kit on its smallest surface (upright) solved this but then I had issues with the bag being too small and the mushrooms hitting the bag and getting condensation from the bag on the caps... This kit arrived contaminated already. It ended up giving no mushrooms at all. I should have contacted the customer service right when the kit arrived since it had white spots but i trusted the shop for it being alright.Rating
