About Mac Galactic: The Cosmic Dinner-Plate Cubensis
Off-white golden caps flatten to dinner-plate shapes on short, thick eggshell-white stems. Mac Galactic is a mushroom of the Psilocybe cubensis species (a mushroom species from the Psilocybe family). It was built for the look and the marketing writes itself. Under the cosmic look sits a 2020s designer hybrid. It is DC 303 Mac (a Penis Envy variant) crossed with Jedi Mind Fuck. It carries PE muscle and a purple-brown print for the scope.
Where Mac Galactic Comes From
Mac Galactic sits in the Hybrid Fusion series as a lab-developed designer strain. There is no wild collection site and no peer-reviewed description. The most cited cross is DC 303 Mac (Penis Envy variant) × Jedi Mind Fuck. It is also reported as Melmac × Jedi in some community sources. It first appears in Shroomery discussions in the early 2020s. It is sold on cosmic looks, PE-family potency claims, and — in some reports — unusually low spore output.

Mac Galactic: Look and Spore Print
Under the scope, Mac Galactic reads big and flat. Large caps flatten to dinner-plate shapes. They are off-white with a golden wash. Stems are short but thick, eggshell-white. Bruising is the typical blue of an active cubensis. The spore print is the standard dark purple-brown. That is true even though some community reports call spore output low on the fruit itself.
Six anchors:
- Cap colour: off-white with a golden wash.
- Cap shape: flat. Dinner-plate when older.
- Cap size: large. Exact size not available.
- Stem: short but thick. Eggshell-white.
- Bruising: yes, blue. Normal for active Psilocybe cubensis.
- Spore print colour: purple-brown. Dark purple-brown is typical for cubensis.
