The Petri specifics
Made from single-use polystyrene, these Petri dishes arrive pre-sterilized and sealed in a sleeve, ready for lab use straight out of the pack. They are not designed to be re-sterilized by autoclave or pressure cooker; polystyrene deforms well below sterilization temperatures. For clean work, open the sleeve inside a still-air box or laminar flow hood, use what you need, and reseal or discard the rest.
