Jedi Mind Fuck Leucistic — Ready-to-Grow Bag XL — Cloud920®
JMF Leucistic is a triple hybrid of Jedi Mind Fuck, Jack Frost, and Melmac — pale, frosty fruit bodies with the deeply introspective power JMF is famous for. Rated ★★★★☆☆ (4/6). The mind trick, refined.
Availability: In stock
In the Star Wars universe, the Jedi mind trick works because of focus — not brute force. The same applies here. Jedi Mind Fuck Leucistic is not the loudest strain in the catalogue, and it does not try to be. It's the one that gets into your head quietly and rearranges the furniture while you're still looking around. A pale, almost colourless version of the original JMF — crossed with Jack Frost and Melmac genetics — that trades the dark caramel look of its parent for a frosty, ethereal appearance and a more refined, deeply introspective experience.
Part of the Cloud920® Genetic Series — Hybrid Fusion
Origin & Genetics
The original Jedi Mind Fuck was discovered growing wild in Georgia (USA) in the early 2000s by Myco Joe and further developed alongside John Meddler. It is believed to descend from a Z-Strain × Golden Teacher cross — two strains known for aggressive colonisation and reliable potency. JMF quickly earned a cult following for its dense, caramel-capped fruit bodies and an experience described as deeply mental, intensely visual, and borderline ego-dissolving.
The Leucistic version takes that foundation and crosses it with Jack Frost (TAT × APE) and Melmac genetics. From Jack Frost it inherits its pale, frosty pigmentation and elevated potency. From Melmac it inherits its dense fruit body structure and heavy stems. The result is a leucistic phenotype — not fully albino (it still produces dark spores), but almost entirely white, with the occasional cream or pale gold undertone showing through. Think of it as JMF in Jedi robes instead of Sith armour.
Jedi Mind Fuck, JMF Albino, or JMF Leucistic?
Three versions of the same legendary lineage — but they look different, grow different, and hit different:
| Jedi Mind Fuck | JMF Albino | JMF Leucistic ✦ | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Type | Original wild isolate | JMF × Albino A+ cross | JMF × Jack Frost × Melmac hybrid |
| Appearance | Dark caramel caps, thick stems | Fully white, pale caps | Pale white to cream, frosty stems, intense blue bruising |
| Potency | ★★★★☆☆ (4/6) | ★★★★☆☆ (4/6) | ★★★★☆☆ (4/6) — with Jack Frost & Melmac genetics adding depth |
| Genetics | Z-Strain × Golden Teacher | JMF × Albino A+ | JMF × Jack Frost (TAT × APE) × Melmac — three powerhouse lines in one |
| Spore colour | Dark purple-brown | Clear / translucent | Dark — leucistic, not full albino |
| Experience | Intense, mental, ego-challenging | Similar to JMF, body high emphasis | Deeply introspective, strong visuals, refined — the Jedi version, not the Sith |
| Growth | Fast, aggressive coloniser | Fast, contamination resistant | Reliable — inherits JMF speed with Melmac density |
Leucistic means "partially without pigment" — unlike a true albino, a leucistic mushroom still retains some colour and produces dark spores. Think of it as a Jedi who has shed the dark robes but still carries the same training and power underneath. Visually lighter, but just as capable when it counts.
Why Choose JMF Leucistic?
- Strength: ★★★★☆☆ (4/6) — potent enough to rearrange your thinking, accessible enough that you don't need years of experience. A well-balanced middle ground for growers who want more than a beginner strain without jumping to 6/6 territory.
- Three legendary lineages in one — JMF brings the mental intensity, Jack Frost brings the frosty albino genetics and elevated potency, Melmac brings the thick stems and dense flushes. This isn't just another JMF variant — it's a purpose-built hybrid.
- The look — pale, almost spectral fruit bodies that bruise deep blue at the slightest touch. If you've grown standard JMF and loved the experience but wanted something rarer and more visually impressive, this is the upgrade.
- Reliable grower — inherits the aggressive colonisation speed from its JMF parent. Pins appear on schedule, flushes are consistent, and the Cloud920 bag handles the rest. No Jedi training required.
What's in the Box
- 1x Cloud920 Grow Bag — 2000cc pre-colonised substrate with active JMF Leucistic mycelium. Integrated micron filters provide passive air exchange and contamination protection.
- 1x Large bag clip — to seal the bag securely between ventilation sessions.
- 1x Rubber band — place around the substrate block to prevent unwanted side growth.
How the Cloud920 Grow Bag Works
- Open once — fold the bag open in a clean space to allow fresh air in and trigger pinning.
- Place and wait — put the bag in indirect light at 23°C. No soaking, no misting required in the first phase.
- Ventilate daily from day 10 — briefly open the bag, press out stale air, let fresh air in, close again (under 30 seconds). Stop when pins appear; resume daily ventilation between flushes.
- Harvest and repeat — see "When to harvest" below for the right timing. Twist and pull at the base. Rehydrate and repeat for additional flushes.
When to harvest JMF Leucistic
JMF Leucistic is a leucistic hybrid and does not follow the classic "harvest when veil breaks" rule. Its veils often tear early — sometimes just a day or two after pins form — and this is not the harvest signal. Wait for these two indicators:
- Cap edges curl upward — when the caps have fully opened and the edges start to curl or flip up, growth has completed. Do not pick when caps are still expanding.
- Marshmallow-soft stem — gently squeeze the stipe near the base (through the bag is fine). If it feels like celery or a firm apple, wait. If it gives like a slightly deflated marshmallow — springy but soft — harvest now.
JMF Leucistic produces very few spores, so spore drop is not a reliable indicator either — rely on the two signals above.
Picking at veil break means harvesting too early and leaving significant size, weight and potency on the table. For full harvest guidance across all strains, see our harvest guide.

The Cloud920 kits are a gigantic improvement over previous kits. The time and care needed for maintenance are much less, the yields are good (average around 450g per kit), and contamination is less. The potency is great, making it a good value even if the kits cost more. Highly recommended! (Posted on 10/9/2025)Rating - Easy to grow Review by Iliya
