Self healing injection ports - 10pcs
Pack of 10 self-healing injection ports in heat-stable butyl rubber. Push one into a 7.1 mm hole in your substrate jar lid and you have a sterile inoculation port: push a spore syringe or liquid-culture needle through, inoculate, the rubber re-seals on its own. Pair with a self-adhesive filter for the second hole — together they turn any jar lid into a proper mycology lid.
Availability: In stock
These Self-Healing Injection Ports are small rubber plugs made from butyl rubber — the same material used in lab-grade vial stoppers. Push one into a 7.1 mm hole in your substrate jar lid and you have a permanent, sterile injection point. The rubber accepts a spore-syringe or LC needle, then re-seals automatically as you pull the needle back out.
How it fits in your jar-lid setup
Every properly prepared substrate jar lid has two 7.1 mm holes — one for an injection port (this product), one for a filter for fresh-air exchange:
- Inoculation port (this product) — for sterile syringe injection of spore solution or liquid culture.
- Self-adhesive lid filter — for the jar to breathe (FAE) without letting contaminants in.
