Lophophora williamsii, commonly known as Peyote, is a small, slow-growing spineless cactus native to the Chihuahuan Desert of northern Mexico and parts of Texas. It grows as a flattened, blue-green button, typically reaching only 4–7 cm in diameter, and produces delicate pink to white flowers. Due to its rarity in the wild and endangered status, growing Peyote from seed is an important conservation practice.
This packet contains 10 Lophophora williamsii seeds. Peyote is one of the slowest-growing cacti — seedlings develop at a leisurely pace, making it a rewarding long-term project for specialist collectors. Sow in well-draining sandy cactus soil at 25–30°C with indirect light. The plant holds deep cultural significance for indigenous peoples of North America and has been part of ceremonial traditions for thousands of years.
