About the Cambodian psilocybe cubensis strain:
Found near the Angkor Wat Temples in Cambodia and Capital of Cambodia at Phnom Phen by the famous John Allen. He and is colleague created this strain by selecting the best and fast growing mycelium. Whether the Cambodia is a Angkor Wat or Phnom Phen strain remains unknown, the strain is just called Cambodia.
The Cambodia mushroom strain is used, cultivated and sold since the 1999. This is the mushroom you could have encountered when you were in Amsterdam, before fresh the mushroom ban.
Some Cambodian Cubensis Facts:
Origin: Cambodia, South of Asia
Cap: 20-70 mm, Brown to copper brown when the mushroom matures,

Years of planning and testing has resulted in the next generation of Mondo® Cambodian Magic Mushroom grow kits. The Mondo® Grow Kit Cambodia has become better than it ever was. Compared to the first generation of Psilocybe cubensis Mondo® Cambodia Grow Kit, the next generation is improved with:
- Larger yields, more mushrooms
- More flushes*
- Better resistance against contaminations
- Different, but easier instructions
*some strains produce more flushes than others. The first three flushes are the largest.
The Psilocybe cubensis Mondo® Cambodia Magic Mushroom grow kit is slightly different than the grow kits you might have used before. This is seen only in the substrate recipe and is a secret not just shared with everyone. Not even with us!
Just like the previous and other easy grow kits, you do not need to use additional spores. During the laboratory process, the spores have developed into mycelium inside the substrate (the cake) in the grow box. The mycelium has fully colonized the substrate and is ready to grow mushrooms.
How to store the grow kit correctly
It is recommended to start the cultivation process right away. If you decide to start growing later, you may store the grow kit in the refrigerator (2°C to 8°C) for 2 weeks. First, wrap the grow kit in a plastic shopping bag and close it well.
Contents of your Magic Mushroom Kit
- 1x grow box – This contains substrate with active mycelium (the cake)
- 1x grow bag – The bag has a micron filter to keep contaminants out
- 1x paperclip – For closing the grow bag.
You need
- Misting Bottle – Misting is needed for the humidity level
- Potable water – For misting and soaking
- Clean environment – Work clean to give other fungi and bacteria (micro organisms) no chance to contaminate.

- Surgical gloves
- Facemask
- Disinfectant for hands
- Disinfectant for surfaces
- Soaking Bag
- Thermometer
- Thermo mat (when room temperature drops below 18°C)
How to prepare the room and yourself before you begin
- Close any open windows. Wind or draft may bring microorganisms that can contaminate the Psilocybe cubensis 'Cambodia' Magic Mushroom grow kit.
- When taking out the grow box with the cake from the carton box, put it on a disinfected surface. If this surface would not be clean, microorganisms may attach to the grow box and will flourish inside the Psilocybe cubensis 'Cambodia' Magic Mushroom grow kit and will contaminate the grow box.
- Make sure you work with clean hands and arms. We recommend using surgical gloves or a good disinfectant when handling the kit. You should use a facemask to avoid breathing into the grow bag and on the cake.
Starting the process
- Fill the box with fresh, potable water. Close the grow box well and let it soak for 12 hours.
- After 12 hours, pour the surplus of water out of the grow box.
- Place the grow box inside the grow bag. The open end of the bag should point upwards.
- Remove the lid from the grow box. Rinse the lid and store it in the carton box.
- Fold the open end of grow bag twice; do not cover the micron filter.
- Place the paperclip on the fold, so the bag stays closed. Now the Psilocybe cubensis 'Cambodia' Magic Mushroom grow kit is ready to grow.
- Place the Psilocybe cubensis 'Cambodia' Magic Mushroom grow kit inside the carton box, on top of the ziploc with lid.

Temperature
The ideal temperature is 24°C. Do not have the temperature drop under 18°C and not exceed 29°C. To keep the temperature from dropping under the 18°C, you can use a to maintain the ideal temperature. A thermo mat is a must-have in the winter or colder regions of the world.
Light
The Psilocybe cubensis Mondo® Cambodia Magic Mushroom Grow Kit only needs light for the mycelium to ‘understand’ it has reached the surface. Only then, mushrooms will grow. A few hours of fluorescent/artificial light or indirect sunlight a day is more than enough. Direct sunlight kills the mycelium, so avoid the sun to shine directly on the grow kit.
Water / Misting
The day after you start the process you begin with misting. Open the grow bag by removing the paperclip. Do not spray directly on the cake but spray one time against every side of the bag. So you mist once a day, four sprays. Misting also vents fresh oxygen inside the bag. Right after misting, close the bag again with the paperclip.
Mushrooms
If the conditions are optimal, you can expect the first small mushrooms (the pins) to appear between 5 and 16 days. This also depends on the strain. Some cubensis strains grow slower than others.
Flushes
The mushrooms come up in groups. This can be a small or large group. That depends on the strain. A growth like this is called a flush. Mushrooms are almost never ripe at the same time. You can get more than one flush out of a kit. The first two flushes are the largest. When more flushes come, they will be smaller than the previous one.
Picking
Mushrooms are ripe and should be picked when the veil between the hat and the stem has just torn. Don’t wait much longer. Use surgical gloves or disinfect your hands, wrists and arms. Pick the mushrooms that are ripe and let the others continue to grow. Remove the mushrooms from the cake by taking hold of the base of the mushroom between thumb and index finger. Rotating your hand clockwise slowly, until the mushroom lets go. Do not pull out the mushrooms. This would risk damaging the mycelium and killing it. When most of the larger mushrooms have been picked, also pick the smaller ones and the pins as well.
Mushrooms that grow from the sides
Mushrooms grow where the light reaches and where there is little penetrating resistance. Because the cake has light shining on the sides, the mushrooms might also grow there. It is hard to counter this and can be allowed. Some growers wrap the sides of the grow box in aluminum foil to keep the sides dark, but this doesn’t always work well.
When mushrooms grow there, they can be picked just before you soak the kit:
Clean hands! Take the grow box out of the bag and place it upside down on your other hand. Wiggle the plastic box so that the cake will fall out, onto your hand. The plastic box can be placed on a disinfectant surface. Now you have this hand free to pick the mushrooms from the sides of the cake. When all mushrooms are picked, you can place the cake back as it was, in the plastic box and continue to the soaking process.
Soaking
After all the mushrooms have been picked, you prepare the kit for the next flush. Again, with disinfected hands or gloves; take the grow box out of the grow bag. Fill the box with fresh, potable water. Take the lid out of the ziploc bag and use it to close the grow box. Place the closed grow box in a soaking Bag or use your own clean plastic shopping bag and wrap it around the box. Close it well and place this in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C) for 12 hours. This is called the soaking process. Water will now soak through the cake, preparing it for the next flush.
During the soaking you can hang the grow bag with micronfilter upside down to dry. Make sure to hang it upside down, so no microorganisms will access the bag. Many growers prefer to use new and unused grow bags after every flush.
After 12 hours take the soaking Bag with the grow box, out from the fridge and unpack it.
Next Flush
To continue, follow the same steps 3 – 7 as before when you started the process for the first time. Several days later, a new flush will appear. You can get at least 2 or 3 flushes out of a Psilocybe cubensis 'Cambodia' Magic mushroom grow kit. If you are experienced in cultivating, you can get more flushes out of a kit.
The end
When no more mushrooms grow out of a grow kit after the second flush for at least three weeks, or when the Psilocybe cubensis 'Cambodia' Magic Mushroom grow kit turns green, red, grey or yellow; the grow kit can be disposed of. The change in color is a sign that the grow kit is contaminated with another fungus or bacteria. No more mushrooms will grow out of the Psilocybe cubensis 'Cambodia' Magic mushroom grow kit and the grow kit should be thrown away in the garbage outside.
Spores
When you are too late picking the mushrooms, they will drop their spores. The cake and the mushrooms will turn black/purple (some other cubensis strains red/brown) because of the spores. This is not really a problem; it just doesn’t look very pretty. When mushrooms release their spores, they also start to degrade, and the active ingredients are breaking down. Mushrooms will lose some of their potency.

This is the 4th time buying the Cambodians; they are very easy to grow, nice flushes (especially 1st and 2nd), and this time I got huge ones (when I say huge, I mean they look like potatoes). Regarding strength, little (around 2/3 dried m) is fantastic for meditating; but if you feel brave, you might end up like me... talking with a ceramic Buddha. Best strains from Combo sets. Fist yield was 34g dry product! I think Cambodian and Mexicana are most potent in many ways! I like to start with 2g Cambodian or Mexicana and then maybe golden teacher etc. It depends what you are looking for the trip. My first kit went wrong (maybe i messed up something or idk), but they sent me another and today i collected the 4th flush, i'm about to try the 5th flush! More than 30 grams!Rating
I tried them yesterday. I took them in the morning they were my breakfast. It was my first time. I took 2 grams. I started feeling it after 10 minutes. My vision became like i was drunk or high. I felt like it. After maybe a 30 hour a started feeling nauseous, and I threw up like 4 times, it was really bad.(But when i'm taking something i usually throw up,it's my body not the shrooms).
I don't really know if i had hallucinations because i was vomiting,but after an hour i just started feeling good. I sat for hours in my bathroom looking at the toilet and the wall and just smiling and thinking. I was truly free. I was connected with myself. It shoved me my real dreams. I was awake. The firtsy pins showed up on the 20th day i was worried... Growed them with 180w LED grow lamp. In total i got 250 grams on the 1st flush i made some great prints from them. There were more than 40 mushrooms... the 2nd is also looking very promicing i think it will be around 200g.s The effect was mindblowing, i ate 4 g, dry and i were on another planet for some time :D That was my 2nd time eating shrooms and those were deffenetly much stronger than the wild ones. I didn't expected nothing like this.. it was fu**ing amazing.I felt my brain working like never before, it was so good that i cryed a few times!! :DRating

I bought a box of these babys with a starter kit as they were my first grow, customer service and deivery to uk all went smoothly, descreet packaging.Rating
Took about 13 days for the first pins to appear and then like 3 days for them to grow. Not many grew mind, probbally about 5-6 different sizes with the biggest picked weighing in at 2.5g dry. i dunno if thats the norm or maybe my conditions weren't right but being my first time i was really happy with the yield

and about to try a 4th flush
The shrooms themselves are amazing, i don't have much experiences to compare them to but i had 4 -5 hours of serious fun.

I highly reccomend these natural wonders
I've done 2 trips so far, first eaton which gave me mild stoumach cramps but i read up on that and it just depends how your body reacts to it
But i made my next lot in a tea and didn't get any pains at all and it was just as powerful
Can't wait to try some different strains now, might be hooked for life

The ordering was uncomplicated and after payment I recieved the order very quickly. That was very nice.Rating
But then I have to say, I am a bit disappointed. After reading all reviews I expected more.
I started the culture on the 1st of April. Exactly like it was recommended: 23°C constant temperature, north window without direct sunlight, water spray, etc. Then waiting.
On the 12th of april still nothing.
On the 26th of april 5 mushrooms were showing. Yay! They were 50g in total. That wss the first flush. Nothing more.
Activated the culture again in the fridge, on the 12th of may then finally 13 mushrooms showed up. Total amount 95g. That was all for the second flush.
Right now I am waiting for the third.
I could just try a little shroom fresh, the others I dried 'cause I'm waiting for my friend to come back to eat them together.
The taste is earthy, I liked it very much. Didn't get any nausea. It was just a small one, but i felt light and happy, could see different colours. I felt like moving, running. What I then did, jogging outside in nature was great.

I ordered Cambodians like half year ago in a starter grow kit (with mask and other stuff). It was my first time with mushrooms ever. I didn't expect how big impact on my life will have that decision...Rating
Service was perfect- fast shipping to England.
I don't know exactly how much dried mushrooms I ate, but it was like 2-3g, maybe more. After 30 minutes it started- at the beginning felt like weed. But only in beginning.
I started with listening to Pink Floyd 'The Dark Side Of The Moon'. Most amazing experience in my life. Music was flowing through my body. I felt every sound touching me- it was beautiful. I had some light visuals as well. I was spending all that time with two of my friends- whole trip ( 4-5 hrs ).
After Floyds we get to a car and drove on trip ;) I was sitting at the back. We were listening to music. Than that song about love started to play. I started to cry and laugh at the same time. I felt so happy and thankful for everything I have... It was wonderful cleansing experience.
Later we got out from the car and sat on a bench watching a view of sea. I started to laugh and I couldn't control it. It was quite funny :D Then it started to slowly wear off. I got quite normal, I could control myself but when I closed my eyes I could still see some nice visuals.
It was great experience, as my friends told me it changed me even if I didn't see that change. They said it's a good change so I am happy with that ;)
Now I ordered Treasure Coast, Golden Teacher and B+ in XL sizes so I will have mushrooms for longer and for some unexpected occasions. This time I will eat it with my best friend and I'm wondering how our relation will change after such experience. I'm sure it will be a good change again.
