Years of planning and testing has resulted in the next generation of Mondo® B+ Magic Mushroom grow kits. The Mondo® Grow Kit B+ has become better than it ever was.
Compared to the first generation of Psilocybe cubensis Mondo® B+ Grow Kit, the next generation is improved with:
- Larger yields, more mushrooms
- More flushes*
- Better resistance against contaminations
- Different, but easier instructions
*some strains produce more flushes than others. The first three flushes are the largest.
How to store your mushroom grow kit correctly
It is recommended to start the cultivation process right away. If you decide to start growing later, you may store the grow kit in the refrigerator (2°C to 8°C) for 2 weeks. First, wrap the grow kit in a plastic shopping bag and close it well.
Contents of the B+ Psilocybe Cubensis Magic Mushroom kit
- 1x grow box – This contains substrate with active mycelium (the cake) of the B+ cubensis strain
- 1x grow bag – The bag has a micron filter to keep contaminants out
- 1x reusable yellow seal – For closing the grow bag.
You need
- Misting Bottle – Misting is needed for the humidity level
- Potable water – For misting and soaking
- Clean environment – Work clean to give other fungi and bacteria (micro organisms) no chance to contaminate.
We recommend using
- (when room temperature drops below 18°C)
How to prepare the room and yourself before you begin
- Close any open windows. Wind or draft may bring microorganisms that can contaminate the Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic Mushroom grow kit.
- When taking out the grow box with the cake from the carton box, put it on a disinfected surface. If this surface would not be clean, microorganisms may attach to the grow box and will flourish inside the Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic Mushroom grow kit and will contaminate the grow box.
- Make sure you work with clean hands and arms. We recommend using surgical gloves or a good disinfectant when handling the kit. You should use a facemask to avoid breathing into the grow bag and on the cake.
Starting the process
- Fill the box with fresh, potable water. Close the grow box well and let it soak for 12 hours.
- After 12 hours, pour the surplus of water out of the grow box.
- Place the grow box inside the grow bag. The open end of the bag should point upwards.
- Remove the lid from the grow box. Rinse the lid and store it in the carton box.
- Fold the open end of grow bag twice; do not cover the micron filter.
- Place the reusable yellow seal on the fold, so the bag stays closed. Now the Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic Mushroom grow kit is ready to grow.
- Place the Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic Mushroom grow kit inside the carton box, on top of the ziploc with lid.

Temperature
The ideal temperature is 24°C. Do not have the temperature drop under 18°C and not exceed 29°C. To keep the temperature from dropping under the 18°C, you can use a to maintain the ideal temperature. A thermo mat is a must-have in the winter or colder regions of the world.
Light
The Psilocybe cubensis Mondo® B+ Magic Mushroom Grow Kit only needs light for the mycelium to ‘understand’ it has reached the surface. Only then, mushrooms will grow. A few hours of fluorescent/artificial light or indirect sunlight a day is more than enough. Direct sunlight kills the mycelium, so avoid the sun to shine directly on the grow kit.
Water / Misting
The day after you start the process you begin with misting. Open the grow bag by removing the reusable yellow seal. Do not spray directly on the cake but spray one time against every side of the bag. So you mist once a day, four sprays. Misting also vents fresh oxygen inside the bag. Right after misting, close the bag again with the reusable yellow seal.
Mushrooms
If the conditions are optimal, you can expect the first small mushrooms (the pins) to appear between 5 and 16 days. This also depends on the strain. Some cubensis strains grow slower than others.
Flushes
The mushrooms come up in groups. This can be a small or large group. That depends on the strain. A growth like this is called a flush. Mushrooms are almost never ripe at the same time. You can get more than one flush out of a kit. The first two flushes are the largest. When more flushes come, they will be smaller than the previous one.
Picking
Mushrooms are ripe and should be picked when the veil between the hat and the stem has just torn. Don’t wait much longer. Use surgical gloves or disinfect your hands, wrists and arms. Pick the mushrooms that are ripe and let the others continue to grow. Remove the mushrooms from the cake by taking hold of the base of the mushroom between thumb and index finger. Rotating your hand clockwise slowly, until the mushroom lets go. Do not pull out the mushrooms. This would risk damaging the mycelium and killing it. When most of the larger mushrooms have been picked, also pick the smaller ones and the pins as well.
Mushrooms that grow from the sides
Mushrooms grow where the light reaches and where there is little penetrating resistance. Because the cake has light shining on the sides, the mushrooms might also grow there. It is hard to counter this and can be allowed. Some growers wrap the sides of the grow box in aluminum foil to keep the sides dark, but this doesn’t always work well.
When mushrooms grow there, they can be picked just before you soak the kit:
Clean hands! Take the grow box out of the bag and place it upside down on your other hand. Wiggle the plastic box so that the cake will fall out, onto your hand. The plastic box can be placed on a disinfectant surface. Now you have this hand free to pick the mushrooms from the sides of the cake. When all mushrooms are picked, you can place the cake back as it was, in the plastic box and continue to the soaking process.
Soaking
After all the mushrooms have been picked, you prepare the kit for the next flush. Again, with disinfected hands or gloves; take the grow box out of the grow bag. Fill the box with fresh, potable water. Take the lid out of the ziploc bag and use it to close the grow box. Place the closed grow box in a soaking Bag or use your own clean plastic shopping bag and wrap it around the box. Close it well and place this in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C) for 12 hours. This is called the soaking process. Water will now soak through the cake, preparing it for the next flush.
During the soaking you can hang the grow bag with micronfilter upside down to dry. Make sure to hang it upside down, so no microorganisms will access the bag. Many growers prefer to use new and unused grow bags after every flush.
After 12 hours take the soaking Bag with the grow box, out from the fridge and unpack it.
Next Flush
To continue, follow the same steps 3 – 7 as before when you started the process for the first time. Several days later, a new flush will appear. You can get at least 2 or 3 flushes out of a Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic mushroom grow kit. If you are experienced in cultivating, you can get more flushes out of a kit.
The end
When no more mushrooms grow out of a grow kit after the second flush for at least three weeks, or when the Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic Mushroom grow kit turns green, red, grey or yellow; the grow kit can be disposed of. The change in color is a sign that the grow kit is contaminated with another fungus or bacteria. No more mushrooms will grow out of the Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic mushroom grow kit and the grow kit should be thrown away in the garbage outside.
Spores
When you are too late picking the mushrooms, they will drop their spores. The cake and the mushrooms will turn black/purple (some other cubensis strains red/brown) because of the spores. This is not really a problem; it just doesn’t look very pretty. When mushrooms release their spores, they also start to degrade, and the active ingredients are breaking down. Mushrooms will lose some of their potency.

After listening to some of Terence McKenna's lectures I decided it was of major importance for me to experience this myself. I took around 3 dried gramms, mixed with orange juice and lit up some candles, opened up two tabs with movies (just in case) and listened to Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon.
The tingling sensation in my belly after 30 minutes made it clear that this trip would be a huge one. Try to fast for 4-6 hours before you take them, do sports, eat something light (fruits, vegetables), remove all possible interruptions (telefon ect.).
I could not posibly describe with words what happened then. I've wittnesed incredible beauty, had no sense of my body or anything, I was everything. No boundries seperated me from my room, there was no time and I understood how life itself is merely an illusion for us to experience. I went completely mad for 2 hours and when I came back it was the most intense feeling of happiness and awe I had ever experienced.

Have previously grown treasure coast, got about 500g out of 5 flushes. Is easy to grow, definitely get the heat mat to generate the right temp. No regrets whatsoever about buying this. The kit arrived on the 28th of February (the team were very helpful when we wanted to change our method of payment) and set it going straight away. This was our first kit so we didn't know quite what to expect but here's what we've gotten so far-Rating
1st Flush-
16 days from soaking to picking (9 to pinning)
150g fresh yield
2nd Flush-
10 days from soaking to picking (5 to pinning)
105g fresh yield
3rd Flush-
8 days from soaking to picking (4 to pinning)
Not all picked yet but we've already picked 39g and what's left in there still looks on par with the 2nd flush.
This last flush has gone from pinning to very nearly ready to pick in just about 2 days, it's amazing and so exciting to check and see how it's grown. I'm think we have around 400g fresh so far and there's no real signs of things slowing down.
We've already tried the contents and had a wonderful time, even on smaller amounts.
If you're thinking about getting one of these I definitely recommend it, just follow the instructions and you shouldn't be disappointed, we're almost definitely going to make another purchase at some point in the future (we may even have our eye on the combi-pack).

this is the second time i order this kit, and the first one gave me 4 flushes, but basically 3 good flushes and just a "tiny treat" in the end. this one, i am going for the second flush as we talk, but frankly the first one was a disappointment... very small and weird looking shroomies.. even put me into thoughts that they had sent me the wrong variety.. and that may be true, but i am waiting for the second flush to be more certain. cause the "heads" are a bit more pointy that the B+ are supposed to be, and much shorter, but then again, we'll see! i hope i get more of them at this flush :-) their potency is very good though. very nice visuals and long lasting, just like my previous kit. this time i took my friends and we went to a forest nearby... i swear i could see trees on 3D, incredible details, very very nice visuals, the colors were just bursting out of the objects like ribbons of light, i can't explain it properly with words... one of my friends started running up and down a small hill, he just couldn't get tired enough and stop!! he was like on steroids.. umbelievable stuff ... and even days after, i find myself a lot more honest with people... i mean, maybe too honest... i just can't help it! i'm sure it's the mushrooms still in my system.. good nice sweet shroomies <3 (Posted on 3/14/2013)Rating - Very pleased Review by Gandalf

My friend told me about this kit he ordered and successfully harvested several flushes with it. After having tried his dried shrooms on two occasions, I knew I HAD to order the same kit myself.Rating
I've harvested my second flush today which was exactly 8 days after my 1st harvest. (God they grow fast). I've yet to try my own harvest as finding the right time is very important.
The trip itself on a low dose is very inspiring. I really enjoyed the HD vision that it gives after the peak. I won't go too much into it, but it has changed my outlook on life. Certainly something worth trying.
I look forward to trying the other strains/kits available on the site.

Der Versanbd ging blitzschnell, die Bedienung war super einfach und nach ein paar wenigen Tagen sah man die ersten Pilzchen wachsen. Haben nach nicht mal zwei Wochen die ersten Pilze geerntet und so mit Platz für die weiteren herranwachsenden gemacht :) Zimmer hatte ca. 20-25 grad Raumtempratur und Wasser gab´s nach gefühl. Die Box steht jetzt seit ca. 5 Wochen hier und es wachsen immer noch Pilze.Rating
Die ersten haben wir getrocknet und gleich ausprobiert. Für mich das erste mal. 2gramm getrocknete waren ein bißchen zu wenig, da wir nicht richtig loslassen konnten, alles was dazwischen war, war wunderschöööön, farbintensiv, ein bißchen wie im Wunderland ^^
sehr entspannen, am ende sehr kopflastig und etwas anstrengend.
ein bißchen mehr und alles wäre in bewegung gewesen, da waren wir beide uns sicher ;-) ich denke mit 3-4gramm getrocknete wäre perfekt, wir werden es bald ausprobieren!

I feel a reborn person after this trip. this was my first ever trip on these little beauties and i can't even describe with words the feeling of freedom and multidimentional awareness i experienced.Rating
i faced quite a few problems though, i must admit.. nothing happenned for the first 17 days for example.. after that the box fell on the floor and many "heads" were destroyed, plus the ground was a bit uneven from one side... i have been contacting mms support at least 10 times, and they were always very helpful and trying to calm me down... everything went alright from that point on.. i haven't been weighting the fresh harvest, i will weight the dried ones, once all harvests are dried. it is quite a lot though, at least on my first 2 harvests. on the second it was less, cause i had some problem with overgrown moss/mold -i don't really know how to describe it- and i had the brilliant idea to scratch it off in a couple of areas... nothing ever grew back again on these areas... so guys, DON'T do it if you ever have a problem like that. just leave the bag open for a couple of days to make the environment a bit more dry.
so , time for my story! i had them with other 2 of my friends and took three times what we should have eaten... cause in the first half an hour, maybe even one hour, nothing happened. so we were like, "we are taking more"! and then the trip started and it didn't end until 8 hours later..
i highly recommend this variety, i think it's quite a strong one, but we all had some slight stomach pains a few hours later. some food will always fix that.

Just want to give you an advice.
Buy heating pads.
They will boost up your flushes annormous.
I bought a heating pad and a temperature controller. Paid 12 pounds for the controller.
Keeping the temperature 23 Celsius all the time gave me a GREAT 1st flush.

300 gr. fresh mushies from the 1st flush. And i left some mushies in the box just to grow a bit more, cause they were too small. If they don't grow I will still have 30-40 gr to harvest.

It really is as simple as it's made out. This is the first time I have ever grown shrooms: and how simple it was! The package arrived within a few days. I merely followed the intructions; and about 13days later many mushrooms poked through.Rating

I ate only three dried shrooms, on a Sunday afternoon, just to try them out - my scales had run out of battery.
I took a walk across the sea front. The sky was mostly clear; but was strewn with stringy clouds, that seemed to go back infinitely into the sky: each layer appearing like a holographic projection of the layer before. The sky took on a concave shape: I was in a huge blue bowel. The sky also - on account of the obscured horizon - looked to be completely misaligned with the Earth! As though the whole sky had shifted to the left somehow.
There were many people at the seafront. They all looked utterly bizarre: especially the deformed runners who came huffing and puffing past, with the strangest, most otherworldly facial expressions you could possibly imagine!
The sand dunes were morphing, opening into holes then swallowing themselves up again. All with a perfect geometric symmetry.
Later, in a wood, by a river, I closed my eyes because the open eye visuals were becoming so intense. Here I felt a perfect peace; and the closed eye visuals were exquisite! Intricate, florescent geometric shapes, constantly shifting, in what appeared to be a large hive like landscape. It was a moving picture though: which was directed by hooded faces, whose warped gesticulations lead the way.
When I opened my eyes, at length, the world around was warped and twisted out of recognition. The river had risen up; the trees around me swayed; the path weaved; the people shrunk. What was merely people coming into view from around a corner appeared as people springing from another dimension: shrunken, and holographic; but growing both in size and tangibility as they approached.
Next, I went off to find a shop; but every person I asked for directions said the opposite of the last. All the paths lead nowhere but took a great deal of time in getting there! There were no ends to anything. Everything loops and circles.
I cannot begin to explain the full extent of this trip: because the world is something different than words, no matter how you look at it. But I would certainly recommend these shrooms! EXCELLENT!!
The second flush is on its way through and looks impressive!

I got my first flush after two weeks,but my first flush didnt work,mushrooms was a lot but they growed to big maybe thats why they didnt wokred,then i got second flush,and i didnt dry them i was eating them fresh,the first trip in my life was amazing,i saw colors and was so so so happy,i never had been so happy in my life,its like your brain is starting to work on 100% and you feel all your body and see everything so colorfull.Then i had third flush then fourth flush thne i was suprised i got fift flush,and now still i got this box,because mushrooms is still growing,but not that much,but five flushes i had and there from five flushes i had a lot of portion.Tnks,now next ones i will try thai,but still will get biger box of b+ they are awsome pure happines.And wery important to use mushrooms these in parks or nature then you will feel freedom and magic will be everywhere,we was with friend trying in clubs and even walking on the streets, and now we know best place to take mushrooms is in company at home and park or forests is the best when sun goes down.tnhks mushroom shop. :) (Posted on 8/16/2012) - B++++++++++++++ Review by Hidding Bunny

These mushooms are maybee one of the best I can recommand if you want to have a nice and easy trip. Compared to some other shooms (like mexican) many less people have stomach akes with this ones and the trip suites many more people then other shooms. My home best in competition with Thai shrooms with I find are quiet similar. Some shooms can become relatively big ( 20 to 40 grammes each fresh) making it much quicker to clean when picked. Expect about 8 to 12 grammes of dried shooms per flush for about 3 flushes then the quantity will slowly go down for every flush starting at that point In total, around 40 grammes of dried shrooms per boxe..
