The GetMagic® Starter Pack is designed for first-time growers. It includes a 1200 ml grow kit, a heat mat, misting bottle, disinfectant gel, face mask, and gloves — everything required to set up your first grow properly, without having to buy accessories separately.

First time? Start with Mexican (gentlest experience) or Golden Teacher (balanced and insightful). Avoid McKennaii until you have some experience — it's significantly more intense.
Why the Starter Pack matters
Temperature control
The included heat mat keeps the substrate at optimal temperature when your room falls below 21 °C. Place it underneath the grow box, never directly against it. A consistent 23–24 °C is the single most important factor for a successful first grow.
Hygiene
Contamination is the number one reason grows fail. The Starter Pack includes latex gloves (enough for three flushes), disinfectant hand gel, and a face mask. Use them every time you open the grow bag — clean hands and a covered mouth protect the mycelium from bacteria and mould spores.

What's the difference between the Starter Pack and buying a kit separately?
The grow kit itself is identical. The Starter Pack adds the essential accessories — heat mat, misting bottle, gloves, disinfectant, and face mask — at a bundled price. If you already own these items from a previous grow, the standalone kit is all you need. If this is your first time, the Starter Pack saves you the hassle of sourcing accessories individually.
Do I need anything else beyond the Starter Pack?
Just tap or mineral water for misting and soaking, a clean surface to work on, and access to a power outlet for the heat mat. That's it — the pack is designed to be complete out of the box.
What yield can I expect?
The included 1200 ml kit typically produces 200–400 g of fresh mushrooms across multiple flushes. Yield depends on strain choice, temperature, humidity, and hygiene — all of which the Starter Pack is designed to optimise.

Kit came as expected. After 1 week mushrooms started to grow. In the first flush i was able to produce approx 130g. However theyt grew only at the edges. Still have setup running , now I didn't use supplied heat mat as unsure ,seemed small but have a heat mat in a "tank" with extra temperature control and independent humid/temp gauge .Followed instructions to the letter , now had for 4 days in fridge before I could set up ,,not a pin head nothing ,, totally gutted . The starter kit includes everything you might need as a novice (make sure you search around for the paperclip, it IS there!).
Customer support is exceptional, very friendly, helpful and will reply to you immediately.
Only reason this is a 4 instead of a 5 star review is because my kit seems to be "lazy", so I can't quite comment on how productive the kit is, so I need to be fair. The starter pack includes everything you need to start growing: hand sanitizer to make sure you don't contaminate the growkit, the spray bottle to spray the inside of the growbag, the heating mat that can accommodate 2 growkits and that uses 4W of power (if you leave the heating mat on for 24 hours, you will consume 24h*4W = 96Wh. Where I live kWh costs 20 cents, so 96Wh will cost under 2 cents per day), and, of course, the growkit. I ordered GetMagic Golden Teacher kit: after activating the growkit, the first pins appeared in 6 days, and after that it took 5 more days to harvest the first flush completely. The second time pins appeared in 3 days and it took another 4 days for complete harvest of the second flush - in total, I harvested 2 flushes in 18 days after soaking the growkit for the first time, which, I think, is an incredible result. Thus, I highly recommend this starter pack for everyone considering growing your own mushrooms. The support from the staff is also great - they are very helpful and respond in a timely manner.
