Spore syringe cubensis Blue Meanie

Blue Meanie Cube — often abbreviated as Blue Meanie Cube — is a cubensis isolate famous for extreme blue bruising and above-average potency. the "Blue Meanie" name is shared with the unrelated Australian Panaeolus cyanescens, but this product is the cubensis variant: a stabilised P. cubensis strain that bruises intensely blue when handled.

Caps are golden-brown to caramel, convex-to-flat at maturity. Stems are white and dense, often shorter than typical cubensis. The defining trait is rapid, deep blue bruising on any damage — visibly bluer than most other cubensis strains.

Growing notes

Colonisation runs at 24–27°C; fruit at 22–24°C with high humidity (90–95% RH) and steady fresh-air exchange. PE-family and high-potency strains in particular reward patience — don't rush to fruiting conditions, and keep sterile technique tight to limit contamination during the longer colonisation window.

How to use: Flame-sterilise the needle, inoculate your sterile substrate or liquid-culture jar through a self-healing port, then store unused syringes upright in a clean dark place.

Storage: 2–8°C in a sealed bag protects spore viability; do not freeze. Use within 6–12 months for best results.

Potency note: Community reports place the Blue Meanie cubensis above the cubensis average; lab data is limited and individual results vary.
