Mycelium
We all know the mushroom, but were do these little things come from? They grow out of the mycelium. The mycelium is the vegatative part of a fungus. And it looks like thread or a web. Through the mycelium the fungus gets it's nutrition.
If you have a mushroom grow kit you can see the mycelium through the sides of the box. The mycelium is spread out through the grow kit feeding on the rye substrate. It is even possible for the mycelium to grow over the top layer of vermiculite.

Kamervragen Pv/dA over Truffel gebruik en verkoop
Tweede kamerlid Lea Brouwmeester heeft op haar persoonlijke website de kamervragen gepost welke zij ,na aanleiding van het krantenartikel in dagblad De Trouw, in het parlement heeft gesteld. Om iedereen voldoende te informeren over de opleving van het paddenstoelen en truffel topic hebben wij (MMS) deze vragen op een rij gezet. Hopelijk worden de Ministers in het Kabinet eens wijs en zorgen zij voor een goede regulering in de verkoop van truffels. -

Omstreeks deze tijd worden de muurschilderingen gemaakt bij het Tassili Plateau in het zuiden van Algarije. Hierop zijn afbeeldingen te zien van dansende sjamanen die paddo’s vasthouden. Er zijn meer dan 15.000 schilderingen ontdekt, waaronder afbeeldingen van wezens die op astronauten lijken. Koren op de molen voor alternatieve geschiedschrijvers.

December 17, 2009Gelukkig nieuw jaar Tsjechië ! Het gedoogbeleid dat hier in Nederland langzaam maar zeker wordt afgebroken is een mooi export product gebleken. Dutch mushroom ban successful
It became clear today that the Dutch government is continuing the ban on magic mushrooms. Ths despite the wish of the left wing parties to lift it. (PvdA, D66, GroenLinks)
Today there was a debate in Dutch Parliament analyzing the effectiveness of the mushroom ban. Minister of Health, Ab Klink and Minister of Justice, Hirsch Ballin come to the conclusion that the ban is a success, when considering the very few magic mushroom related incidents this year.
