- The 1st flush pinning started on day 13 and I harvested on day 18. I expected pinning to start later than this as APE is characterised by slow growth. The use of a grow mat encouraged early pinning. The 1st flush yielded 17g cracker dry. This was the first time I have grown APE and I was happy with both the growth cycle and the yield.
