Easy to grow, great yield

I'm a first time grower and I was very pleased with these. They arrived promptly in neutral packaging and the instructions were clear and easy to follow.
I grew them using a heat mat. I put two small paperback books on the mat and the kit on top of the books. I got 3 decent yields. The first was 168g, the second 140g and the third 90g.

Each flush grew from the sides only and they were deep rooted so it was difficult to pick them without breaking the substrate. For the third flush I took the cake out of the box and rested it on the upside down box. I think I could possibly have got a 4th flush, but the substrate was in pieces and a new order arrived so I binned it.

I scrubbed up like a surgeon any time I had to put my hands in the bag and I only opened the bag for a maximum of 5 minutes to air them each day. I only had to mist inside the bag once or twice as there always seemed to be plenty of moisture inside.

The trips were good and I had a couple of nice insights but they weren't very deep or intense. I made the interesting discovery that mushrooms don't have any psychedelic effect if you're taking antibiotics. I was at the tail end of a course of penicilin for a tooth abscess and 100 wet grams had zero effect. I fell asleep and didn't even have very intense dreams. I Googled it afterwards and it seems to be a common experience.

Overall I was very pleased with this order, and I'd recommend Golden Teacher for first time grower.

All of the flushes grew from the sides, and were deep rooted, so they were difficult to pick without breaking the substrate. For the third flush I took the cake out of the box and rested it on the upside down box inside the bag. I scrubbed up my hands and arms for 15 mins with a soapy nail brush like a surgeon any time I had to put my hands into the bag.

I only opened the bag for a maximum of 5 minutes to air them each day, and only misted inside the bag once or twice as there always seemed to be plenty of moisture inside.

Package arrived in good time however i discovered a crack in the bottom of the container and was advised to cover this with tin foil and carry on. First flush almost complete after two weeks. No mushrooms grew in the centre of the box, they were all around the outside, and so far I only have about 10 mushrooms. However the total weight of the first flush is 190gm, with a few stragglers being picked in the next few days. Then will start my second flush. Great product and great first trip

Everything worked great and my first experience with shrooms was awesome but not as insigtfull as I hoped but I think a higher dose might hit the spot. I do recommend that you find the grow guide from the website for this specific brand of grow kits since it is way easier to understand than the explanation found in the description. Good first crop, disappointing further flushes.

Altogether got about 8 grams dry on the first crop, which as a first time user I was happy with. The second flush produced 1 beast of a mushroom which gave me a good night just off that one. And it doesn't look like there will be a third flush.

I definitely recommend this kit to any beginners, I would definitely recommend going from a spore syringe and learning how to grow your own from scratch for anyone that wants a much bigger grow.

I regret not cloning some of these golden teachers so if anyone wants to make the most of this kit, clone your first crop because there might not be a second lot! I wish I did Review by Benito (Posted on 10/18/2018)
