Magic Mushroom Spore Syringe - Golden Teacher

Golden Teacher is probably called as such, because of the gold/brown color of the caps. The Teacher part can be explained by the fact that is grows very easy and is good for beginners. Golden Teacher shoots out flush after flush of medium sized mushrooms, growing in large clusters. Potency wise it deserves a place in the higher regions. The Golden Teacher is a classic and will always remain being so. Very rewarding and grows on most substrate recipes.

Golden Teacher 20cc magic mushroom spore syringes are produced under sterile conditions and should be kept dark and refrigerated (2-8°C) to increase the shelf life of the cubensis spores.

1x 20cc Golden Teacher spore solution in a 20ml syringe
1x sterile needle
4x Alco prep

How to use the Golden teacher spore syringe

The Golden Teacher spore solution is held inside the syringe by a luer lock stopper on the end where the needle goes. With this stopper attached makes it easier to transport and to store the Golden Teacher spore syringe.

Make sure to work as hygienic as possible. Wear a face mask and sterile gloves and/or disinfect your hands. Hold the Golden Teacher spore syringe in front of you with the luer lock stopper pointing upwards. Remove the luer lock stopper by screwing it counter-clockwise. Take the needle out of the sterile package and screw it on the Golden Teacher spore syringe. Shake the spore syringe vigorously for ten seconds before you remove the protective cap from the needle.

To proceed from here, there are several methods to choose from:

Dropping the spore solution onto the substrate

After having prepared your own substrate or cakes you can drop the Golden Teacher spore solution directly from the syringe onto these. Press the plunger slowly so that drops of spore solution will come out of the needle. Every drop that will be in contact with the substrate will be a potential mycelium growth point, so spread out these drops all over the substrate to evenly colonize the substrate with mycelium.

How many cakes can you make with spore syringe?

One 20cc spore syringe can easily colonize 6 liters / 13 pints of substrate.

Injection through injection ports

This is almost identical as dropping the spore solution onto the substrate. Open the injection port by pulling back the port protection cap. Use a alco prep to sterilize the injection port entry. Pierce the opening with the needle. Now drop the spore solution evenly over the substrate inside the spawn bag or grow box. After the Golden Teacher spore solution is injected, remove the syringe and close the injection port with the port protection cap.

Study spores and research using a microscope

Seen from a scientific point of view; all Psilocybe cubensis are alike. But they do differ slightly in appearance and fruiting speed (phenotype). There are numerous Psilocybe cubensis that have different phenotypes. These different cubensis are not considered subspecies, but different strains. The Golden Teacher is a strain of Psilocybe cubensis.

The differences in phenotype can be seen with the naked eye, but the true beauty lies under the microscope. The wondrous world of the spores. Many of our customers are scientists or enthusiasts, doing research on these differences in a homemade laboratory. After having prepared your microscope slide, drop some of the Golden Teacher spore solution on it. Cover the specimen with a microscope covering glass. The best magnification for Psilocybe cubensis and Panaeolus cyanescens spore research is a magnification of 1000x or higher.

How to store a spore syringe

The Golden Teacher spore syringe should be stored refrigerated in a temperature between 2°C - 8°C or 35°F - 46°F. The shelf life of the spore syringe is at least 12 months after they leave our warehouse.

This was my first grow, innoculated exacly a month ago..
Yesterday I saw first pins on the cake in the fruting chamber.
Advice: don't put too much spore solution, I messed up and put
a bit too much in 3 of them and I don't see any growth.
The ones that I put 1-2 cc have colonized faster and have
shown rhizomorphic growth and fast pinning so far.
Happy with the quality and the purchase.
Only objection I have is that the shipping was very expensive
for EU area especially and the weight of the order

I had ordered 2 spore syringes in the course of a few months. Under the 1000x oil immersion microscope the first syringe proved to have few spores in the solution (under 10 spores per 100 micrometer) and a few of them had the cell wall broken ( which means the spore solution was stirred with the tip of the syringe needle). However, my second syringe had perfect subellipsoid and plentiful specimens (and i also appreciated the caramel cookie). I will be coming back but please try and maintain consistency. Thank you. I've bought a grow box, BRF, vermiculite, (much better than the one i got from BnQ recently) that super "softa hand man" sanitizer that i'm still using after 4 months., as well as 4 spore syringes in total. (1 cambodian and 3 golden teacher) The cambodian one was good, worked for me, no complaints. Only used one of them golden teacher syringes so far, and i can already see colonization process.
