Mexican — donde comenzó la historia de las setas mágicas
México es la cuna del cultivo de setas tal como lo conocemos. Las comunidades indígenas mazatecas de las tierras altas de Oaxaca han utilizado hongos psilocibios en ceremonias espirituales y de sanación durante siglos — mucho antes de que la ciencia occidental les diera un nombre. La variedad Mexican cubensis lleva ese legado consigo. Fue una de las primeras variedades de Psilocybe cubensis recogidas en la naturaleza y domesticadas para el cultivo casero, y sigue siendo una de las variedades para principiantes más fiables hasta el día de hoy.
Aspecto
Las setas Mexican tienen un aspecto cubensis clásico: cuerpos fructíferos de tamaño medio con sombreros lisos, del caramelo al marrón dorado claro, que empiezan acampanados y se aplanan gradualmente al madurar. Los pies son esbeltos, de un blanco pálido, y a veces desarrollan un ligero tono azulado al manipularlos. Comparada con variedades de frutos más grandes como Amazon o Golden Teacher, la Mexican tiende a producir setas más numerosas pero ligeramente más pequeñas — a menudo en racimos ordenados y uniformes que facilitan la cosecha.
Características de crecimiento
La variedad Mexican es excepcionalmente fácil de cultivar. El micelio coloniza rápido, resiste bien la contaminación y se adapta a un amplio rango de temperaturas — lo que la hace muy tolerante con condiciones imperfectas. Los flushes aparecen de forma fiable y uniforme, y es exactamente por eso que esta variedad ha sido la opción de referencia tanto para principiantes como para cultivadores profesionales durante décadas. Si quieres un cultivo predecible y de bajo mantenimiento, la Mexican cumple.
Qué esperar de este kit
Este kit FreshMushrooms® está completamente colonizado y listo para empezar nada más sacarlo de la caja — sin remojo, sin riego, sin preparación. Coloca el kit en la bolsa de cultivo, dobla la bolsa como se describe en las instrucciones, y mantén una temperatura estable de 23 °C. Los primeros pins aparecen generalmente entre los 7 y 10 días, con una primera cosecha completa a las dos semanas aproximadamente.
La mayoría de los kits producen dos flushes. El primero ofrece el mayor rendimiento, seguido de un segundo flush tras un remojo en agua fría. El rendimiento total oscila entre 100 y 300 g de setas frescas aproximadamente, dependiendo de las condiciones y el cuidado.
Consejos de cultivo
La Mexican es una de las variedades más tolerantes de toda la familia cubensis — acepta un rango de temperaturas más amplio que la mayoría. Dicho esto, mantener las condiciones cerca de 23 °C seguirá dándote los mejores resultados. Una esterilla térmica con termostato ayuda durante los meses fríos. Evita la luz solar directa; luz natural indirecta o una simple lámpara de escritorio con ciclo 12/12 es suficiente. The growkit is slightly different from what i got previous, mushrooms grow with average yield (got 2 flushes , in 3rd now, 19 gram dry), negative points they grow only on the sides ( maybe that´s only mine) and grow big ones, when i harvested them they were too big and close to each other so a piece of the cake came off. Potency is not high, pretty decent for unexperienced users.Clasificación

If you expect perfect results every time you don't understand mushroom cultivation. For me third time was the charm. I am learning to not need these, but i will use my 3rd grow, 2nd flush for a spore print. Notice 3rd grow, REALISTIC, 5 Star!! It is a learning tool, next order 3 different, then (hopefully) working off spore prints!!Clasificación

1) easy to use 5/5
2) growing potential two harvests 1- about 100gr 2nd 60gr - and this is end - 3/5* becasue of expectations
Power:
1) hmm disapointed - I used to use Psilocybe semilanceata - in many informations 2x stronger than Psylocibe Cubenis - so i deicide to take 25grams and later 25grams (total 45gr - expected trip level 5) - and power was only like starter pack for nice fun in Psilocybe semilanceata - level 1 trip. :( Ill still be testing it but I waiting for day when Ill be able buy P. semilanceata grwoing kit or just spoers. :) (Publicado en 7/12/2020) - Thank you Revisión por Jaime

It was full grown with myzelium and wasn't contaminated or so.
I choose this "strain" because i love the mexican stuff and i knew it was easy to cultivate.
Sooo it took exactly 7 days to see little mushrooms poppin'.
Then it took only 5 days to harvest them..
i myself made a HUGE MISSTAKE and placed it right in front of the sun (got only 20g dried), dont place in in direct sunlight if you want to have a big flush and a very nice harvest.
The whole kit just dropped 3 flushes because the sunlight destroyed it.
I did 20 spore prints on my own and now the myzelium of the spores is doing pretty well, its basically an endless cycle.
start out by buying one of the kits and then GO BIG!

First time ever tried a grow kit. This kit worked pretty good in not the best conditions and without a heatmat. Followed every recommended step about hygiene, soaking after flushes, humidity, etc. Temperature was sometimes in the low range around 19-20 C during night time, tried to keep it around 22 C at least during the day. Kit came with a small patch of probably green mould the size of a thumbnail on the top of the cake, which did not grow. Instead of all these, got 3 flushes out the kit, first flush pretty good 205g fresh in about 2 weeks after receiving the kit. Second flush was a lot smaller in another 8 days, about 35g fresh and after soaking again and waiting another 2 weeks nothing grew on top, so had to put the cake on its side as they started growing there, got another 50g fresh there. I give 5 stars as it was not too bad for the first time in not always perfect circumstances.
