My basement is a bit cold in winter - around 19 degrees during the day and colder at night. I used this mat and had a good harvest. I used those little
tomato paste cans to keep the substrate at a healthy distance. I feel safer leaving this plugged in for weeks than the cheap ones that you get on Amazon.
