A while ago I ordered a syringe but unfortunately it was charged with static electricity and they didn't germinate at all (and neither got contaminated because I work very sterile, way too afraid of contams!). I contacted the MMS and they refunded me with a spore vial, liquid culture and 1kg of BRF! Amazing service. Really happy about it because I wasted A LOT of substrate material.
So I used the spore vial and the thing is, it's a b*tch to work with. My syringe sucked vacuum and I could barely get any spore solution inside. Eventually I got some inside my syringe but it had vacuum in there too which made it hard to control how much solution I inoculated into my jars.
But other than that, IT WORKS SO FAST! Within three days big patches of mycelium growing already. At first I thought it was cobweb but cobweb is rare in early stages and it doesn't grow fast enough for cobweb, also I showed it to some people in the myc community and they all said it looked healthy! Super happy.
Great service. Great spore vial (except the fact it was hard to suck solution inside the syringe! Even tried sucking some air into the syringe and ejecting that back into the vial but also that didn't work! Hahaha. Probably me being a noob though!) (Geplaatst op 19-01-2019)
