Years of planning and testing has resulted in the next generation of Mondo® B+ Magic Mushroom grow kits. The Mondo® Grow Kit B+ has become better than it ever was.
Compared to the first generation of Psilocybe cubensis Mondo® B+ Grow Kit, the next generation is improved with:
- Larger yields, more mushrooms
- More flushes*
- Better resistance against contaminations
- Different, but easier instructions
*some strains produce more flushes than others. The first three flushes are the largest.
How to store your mushroom grow kit correctly
It is recommended to start the cultivation process right away. If you decide to start growing later, you may store the grow kit in the refrigerator (2°C to 8°C) for 2 weeks. First, wrap the grow kit in a plastic shopping bag and close it well.
Contents of the B+ Psilocybe Cubensis Magic Mushroom kit
- 1x grow box – This contains substrate with active mycelium (the cake) of the B+ cubensis strain
- 1x grow bag – The bag has a micron filter to keep contaminants out
- 1x reusable yellow seal – For closing the grow bag.
You need
- Misting Bottle – Misting is needed for the humidity level
- Potable water – For misting and soaking
- Clean environment – Work clean to give other fungi and bacteria (micro organisms) no chance to contaminate.
We recommend using
- (when room temperature drops below 18°C)
How to prepare the room and yourself before you begin
- Close any open windows. Wind or draft may bring microorganisms that can contaminate the Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic Mushroom grow kit.
- When taking out the grow box with the cake from the carton box, put it on a disinfected surface. If this surface would not be clean, microorganisms may attach to the grow box and will flourish inside the Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic Mushroom grow kit and will contaminate the grow box.
- Make sure you work with clean hands and arms. We recommend using surgical gloves or a good disinfectant when handling the kit. You should use a facemask to avoid breathing into the grow bag and on the cake.
Starting the process
- Fill the box with fresh, potable water. Close the grow box well and let it soak for 12 hours.
- After 12 hours, pour the surplus of water out of the grow box.
- Place the grow box inside the grow bag. The open end of the bag should point upwards.
- Remove the lid from the grow box. Rinse the lid and store it in the carton box.
- Fold the open end of grow bag twice; do not cover the micron filter.
- Place the reusable yellow seal on the fold, so the bag stays closed. Now the Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic Mushroom grow kit is ready to grow.
- Place the Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic Mushroom grow kit inside the carton box, on top of the ziploc with lid.

Temperature
The ideal temperature is 24°C. Do not have the temperature drop under 18°C and not exceed 29°C. To keep the temperature from dropping under the 18°C, you can use a to maintain the ideal temperature. A thermo mat is a must-have in the winter or colder regions of the world.
Light
The Psilocybe cubensis Mondo® B+ Magic Mushroom Grow Kit only needs light for the mycelium to ‘understand’ it has reached the surface. Only then, mushrooms will grow. A few hours of fluorescent/artificial light or indirect sunlight a day is more than enough. Direct sunlight kills the mycelium, so avoid the sun to shine directly on the grow kit.
Water / Misting
The day after you start the process you begin with misting. Open the grow bag by removing the reusable yellow seal. Do not spray directly on the cake but spray one time against every side of the bag. So you mist once a day, four sprays. Misting also vents fresh oxygen inside the bag. Right after misting, close the bag again with the reusable yellow seal.
Mushrooms
If the conditions are optimal, you can expect the first small mushrooms (the pins) to appear between 5 and 16 days. This also depends on the strain. Some cubensis strains grow slower than others.
Flushes
The mushrooms come up in groups. This can be a small or large group. That depends on the strain. A growth like this is called a flush. Mushrooms are almost never ripe at the same time. You can get more than one flush out of a kit. The first two flushes are the largest. When more flushes come, they will be smaller than the previous one.
Picking
Mushrooms are ripe and should be picked when the veil between the hat and the stem has just torn. Don’t wait much longer. Use surgical gloves or disinfect your hands, wrists and arms. Pick the mushrooms that are ripe and let the others continue to grow. Remove the mushrooms from the cake by taking hold of the base of the mushroom between thumb and index finger. Rotating your hand clockwise slowly, until the mushroom lets go. Do not pull out the mushrooms. This would risk damaging the mycelium and killing it. When most of the larger mushrooms have been picked, also pick the smaller ones and the pins as well.
Mushrooms that grow from the sides
Mushrooms grow where the light reaches and where there is little penetrating resistance. Because the cake has light shining on the sides, the mushrooms might also grow there. It is hard to counter this and can be allowed. Some growers wrap the sides of the grow box in aluminum foil to keep the sides dark, but this doesn’t always work well.
When mushrooms grow there, they can be picked just before you soak the kit:
Clean hands! Take the grow box out of the bag and place it upside down on your other hand. Wiggle the plastic box so that the cake will fall out, onto your hand. The plastic box can be placed on a disinfectant surface. Now you have this hand free to pick the mushrooms from the sides of the cake. When all mushrooms are picked, you can place the cake back as it was, in the plastic box and continue to the soaking process.
Soaking
After all the mushrooms have been picked, you prepare the kit for the next flush. Again, with disinfected hands or gloves; take the grow box out of the grow bag. Fill the box with fresh, potable water. Take the lid out of the ziploc bag and use it to close the grow box. Place the closed grow box in a soaking Bag or use your own clean plastic shopping bag and wrap it around the box. Close it well and place this in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C) for 12 hours. This is called the soaking process. Water will now soak through the cake, preparing it for the next flush.
During the soaking you can hang the grow bag with micronfilter upside down to dry. Make sure to hang it upside down, so no microorganisms will access the bag. Many growers prefer to use new and unused grow bags after every flush.
After 12 hours take the soaking Bag with the grow box, out from the fridge and unpack it.
Next Flush
To continue, follow the same steps 3 – 7 as before when you started the process for the first time. Several days later, a new flush will appear. You can get at least 2 or 3 flushes out of a Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic mushroom grow kit. If you are experienced in cultivating, you can get more flushes out of a kit.
The end
When no more mushrooms grow out of a grow kit after the second flush for at least three weeks, or when the Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic Mushroom grow kit turns green, red, grey or yellow; the grow kit can be disposed of. The change in color is a sign that the grow kit is contaminated with another fungus or bacteria. No more mushrooms will grow out of the Psilocybe cubensis 'B+' Magic mushroom grow kit and the grow kit should be thrown away in the garbage outside.
Spores
When you are too late picking the mushrooms, they will drop their spores. The cake and the mushrooms will turn black/purple (some other cubensis strains red/brown) because of the spores. This is not really a problem; it just doesn’t look very pretty. When mushrooms release their spores, they also start to degrade, and the active ingredients are breaking down. Mushrooms will lose some of their potency.

Hi, I ordered a box of mushrooms from you. They turned to mucus and did not grwo. this was mostly my fault as It turned to mucus and did not get enough sunlight. I have cats in my house and the only place i could put the box was in the kitchen...oh well...i will try again when i can afford it. I chose the B+ strain because it is supposed to be the most resilient. This is my 5th kit, the last one was also a B+ but of the supagro brand. That one failed to produce any mushrooms , so I got a normal b+ kit as a replacement. I got one small flush of ,about 5 shrooms and then it went mouldy.Rating
The Golden teacher and amazon varieties are far more resilient and produce far bigger flushes, in my experience.
I ordered the first supa grow kit back in November , so its been 2 months of hassle to get these 5 little shrooms. A bit disappointing overall .
However MagicMushroomshop are very helpful .
In conclusion: company good, strain bad. Or maybe just bad luck. I think its about time I learn to grow my own and buy some spores, kits are too risky for the price (Posted on 1/20/2018) - Great Shrooms. Review by Andrew

I took 2.5 grams as my first time experience. They were outstanding, and i was surprised by how potent they were. Got a lot of visuals the first 2 hours. (tried watching game of thrones, but their faces were too blurred out) After that i was convinced i was dreaming for another 2 hours walking around with my littlebrother who had also taken 2.5 grams. The "high" stopped very sudden, and i entered a state of blissfulness and happynes as the shrooms were wearing off. Very grateful, the kit was very easy to grow. Only got 2 flushes though, as the kit became infected. I can recommend to buy extra bags with a kit, because the growbags easily can become infected. Ich war erst etwas skeptisch ob das mit dem Kit so easy funktioniert, aber es scheint so zu sein.
Mein Mycel war noch nicht ganz so weit entwickelt, aber kaum habe ich die Temperatur ein wenig erhöht gings ab und nach ca. 1,5 Wochen sind nun die ersten Pins zu sehen. Es ist wirklich interessant wie sich alles entwickelt. Ich unterstelle den Pilzen einmal das Sie wirken werden und bin echt zufrieden.
Da die Ergebnisse sehr vom Growerund der Umgebung abhängen bin ich mal gespannt wieviel dabei rum kommt.
Ich habe seit ca. 15 Jahren keine Pilze mehr genommen und habe mir das Kit bestellt weil der damalige Tripp einen bis heute wirkenden Eindruck hinterlassen hat.
Ich fand den Tripp damals einfach genial, vor allem das Gefühl danach, als hätte man auf einen Resetknopf gedrückt und startet an einem neuen Punkt im Leben.
Schön das es die Möglichkeit gibt so einfach an Pilze zu kommen :-)

bought it together with A+ and McKennai, used the supagrow bag from the A+, because the supagrow looked very cheap so i decided to use it on the easiest mushroom spezies. The bag didn't grow. My fault or the bags fault?^^Rating

The kit did well, I guess - I am already over the 4th flush.
1st flush: a zillion 3-4cm small mushrooms and 8 regular ones (didn't weigh), around 13-15 cm
2nd flush: again, a ton of small ones and it produced 9 regular ones and one extra huge one (25 cm). Called it El Giganto.
3rd flush: very few small ones. It grew 7 incredibly huge ones, ranging from 26 to 30cm.
Just went today to the 4th flush and am wondering if that'll grow anything as there were a lot of small aborts for the first 2 times.
Effects:
Well...everything is, as the others who gave feedback say.
Started for me usually after 15-30 minutes. It comes with a big bang, you start to laugh histerically on everything. That lasts for hours, without the feel of time. You will see another side of everything you knew, if you are that person. The body high is sometimes mild, sometimes heavy, tho one will be able to stand and walk.
Tried it alone, with one friend and with a group of friends. Alone is not recommended, the more people you are with, who you like, the funnier the trip will be. I managed to leave my cell switched on and had to deal with stuff that I wasn't prepared to :) so always turn off the phones :)
2nd time with a friend we went for sugary drinks, and killed the laugther (without wanting it) and we went into such a deep and meaningful debate, I'd never thought will happen. We smoked a pack of cigi during it (if you like smoking, you'll love it during the trip).
Last week we went to a summer house to try it with a group of friends (6persons). Everyone took 1.5 to 1.7 grams dry and started playing Risk. We could not start the game as everyone was laughing their minds off, however after we managed the start, we had a wonderful time. After 4 hours we were still laughing like maniacs, the effects slowly calmed down after this time. The next day we repeated the thing, but with going to the nearby lake. The usual 10 minute walk turned out to be 40 minutes with histerical laughter filling the air - I guess everyone tought we are out-of-our-minds-stoned :D We couldn't do anything with the laughter, so we went on and had a dip, where I had the same "grid" as Christopher (a couple of reviews below me) explained.
The water during the night was making me see a "hud", with colorful things twirling and twisting and for a couple of seconds I also saw the green grid, floating in black. Of course the laughter was still going on, therefore I did not pay any special attention to this whole phenomenon, but am still thinking about it, what it could mean.

By now there is growing my 7th (!) flush - the 1st flush gave loads of small shrooms, then flushes 2 to 5 mostly big ones. flush 6 + 7 now give another few big ones and some small ones , too.Rating

Altogether so far approximately 50g+ dried shrooms.
I ate 3.8g (my body weight is 91kg) and my girlfriend 3.3g (her body weight is 79kg) of dried shrooms at home - after 30min the trip began. It was very strong for me and my girlfriend, too - we saw all these puzzles, rainbow colours, open and closed eyes visuals, 3D or even 4D visuals - well, from my experience it was very similar to a strong LSD trip - so beware of eating too much of it.
I would highly recommend to start with 2 or 2,5g of dried shrooms and eat a maximum of 3g - I mean it's up to you, of course, but be aware as the B+ is quite potent.
If you have never had LSD or shrooms before, start with 2.5g at the highest dose.
The trip lasted about 4-5 hours, however there's no feeling for time anymore.
Next time I would like to trip outside in nature, down by the river or in a park, as I have read many good things about that being out in nature tripping.
I will try another box and have chosen the Equadorian for now - it's good fun to see the shrooms growing and so on.
