My mushrooms are black! what is that? Can I still eat them?

Hi HW.
Can you please specify what you mean with black? Are the covered with a black layer or are they black and goo-ish?
In the first case they are probably covered with spores. This is not a problem. You can eat the mushrooms without any effect to your health or to your trip.
If they are the latter they might be infected with either a fungus but more likely a bacteria.
