Magic Mushroom spore syringe 'Burma' cubensis

No reviews yet | Add Your Review

As the rumor goes, the Burma strain has been presented to John Allen by a Thai student, who collected a sample from buffalo dung nearby the city of Rangoon. Burma cubensis is highly potent and grow in various sizes, from small to fairly large. The caps are colored different shades of brown; lighter at the rim, darker at the top. The mycelium grows rather aggressive, so it's a quicky! If you are looking for making spore prints, the Burma will be very rewarding.

Also available in a 10ml spore vial.

Details for Burma spore syringe

Burma 20cc magic mushroom spore syringes are produced under sterile conditions and should be kept dark and refrigerated (2-8°C) to increase the shelf life of the cubensis spores.

Special Solution

The Burma cubensis spores are dissolved in a specially developed organic solution to promote the quality of the spores.

Compared to water based spore solutions;  you will get larger yields, stronger mycelium and faster colonization because of this special spore solution.

Why these syringes are better than other spore syringes

  • Spores are 100% free from contaminants and they are very contaminant resistant after leaving the syringe.
  • Improved shelf life. Over 6 months longer; now 18 months.
  • Spores are not sticking to sides of the syringes anymore, thus easier to handle and more grow parts per milliliter (500 gpp ml).
  • Contains nutrients to 'kickstart' the spores when inoculating.
  • Solution boosts strength of mycelium.
  • Faster colonization of substrate and cakes.

How to use the Burma spore syringe

The Burma spore solution is held inside the syringe by a luer lock stopper on the end where the needle goes. With this luer lock stopper attached makes it easier to transport and to store the Burma spore syringe.

Make sure to work as hygienic as possible. Wear a face mask and sterile gloves and/or disinfect your hands. Hold the Burma spore syringe in front of you with the luer lock stopper pointing upwards. Remove the luer lock stopper by screwing it counter-clockwise. Take the needle out of the sterile package and screw it on the Burma spore syringe. Shake the spore syringe vigorously for ten seconds before you remove the protective cap from the needle.

To proceed from here, there are several methods to choose from:

Dropping the spore solution onto the substrate

After having prepared your own substrate or cakes you can drop the Burma spore solution directly from the syringe onto these. Press the plunger slowly so that drops of spore solution will come out of the needle. Every drop that will be in contact with the substrate will be a potential mycelium growth point, so spread out these drops all over the substrate to evenly colonize the substrate with mycelium.

How many cakes can you make with spore syringe?

One 20cc spore syringe can easily colonize 6 liters / 13 pints of substrate.

Injection through injection ports

This is almost identical as dropping the spore solution onto the substrate. Open the injection port by pulling back the port protection cap. Use a alco prep to sterilize the injection port entry. Pierce the opening with the needle. Now drop the spore solution evenly over the substrate inside the spawn bag or grow box. After the Burma spore solution is injected, remove the syringe and close the injection port with the port protection cap.

Study spores and research using a microscope

Seen from a scientific point of view; all Psilocybe cubensis are alike. But they do differ slightly in appearance and fruiting speed (phenotype). There are numerous Psilocybe cubensis that have different phenotypes. These different cubensis are not considered subspecies, but different strains. The Burma is a strain of Psilocybe cubensis.

The differences in phenotype can be seen with the naked eye, but the true beauty lies under the microscope. The wondrous world of the spores. Many of our customers are scientists or enthusiasts, doing research on these differences in a homemade laboratory. After having prepared your microscope slide, drop some of the Burma spore solution on it. Cover the specimen with a microscope covering glass. The best magnification for Psilocybe cubensis and Panaeolus cyanescens spore research is a magnification of 1000x or higher.

Using liquid culture growth medium with the spore syringe

The special solution in which the Burma cubensis spores are dissolved, kickstarts the growth of the mycelium. We do not recommend the use of liquid culture growth medium to get stronger mycelium. If you desire to produce liquid cultures, we recommend to choose for the professional Burma spore vial rather than the Burma spore syringe. If you want to experiment with this Burma spore syringe and liquid culture growth media, we'd love to hear your feedback on your results.

How to store a spore syringe

The Burma spore syringe should be stored refrigerated in a temperature between 2°C - 8°C or 35°F - 46°F. The shelf life of the spore syringe is at least 12 months after they leave our warehouse.
