Why should I buy a grow kit?
Since December 2008 it is illegal in the Netherlands to sell magic mushrooms commercially. However, the grow kits for producing magic mushrooms on a small scale have not been banned and it remains legal for them to be sold on the market. So when you like to have magic mushrooms, the easiest way to obtain them is by growing them for yourself in your house. And the best thing: when doing this you are not violating any laws that are in effect in the Netherlands!
Why should I buy a grow kit from magic-mushrooms-shop.com?
Our grow kits have been produced with care and in a sterile environment. We always have a limited supply on stock so that the grow kits we send to our customers are as fresh as possible. There are dozens of producers of magic mushroom grow kits. We have tested nearly all types of kits available on the market and subjected them to thorough testing. We have only these grow kits in our catalog that are most reliable and have a large produce. Because the market is dynamic, we continue to test new types of kits, looking for ones that meet our standard and those that are good enough to offer to our customers.
What is the price of the magic mushroom grow kit?
The price starts at € 19.95 not including possible discounts and shipping. The minimum cost of shipping is € 8.33 but this is subjected to the amount of kits ordered and also it depends on the country where the order needs to be delivered. During the ordering process, before you have confirmed the order, you will be able to calculate the exact shipment cost.
What is a magic mushroom grow kit?
A grow kit is a way to easily grow your own magic mushrooms. 
The grow kit contains:
- 1x grow box with substratum containing alive mycelium (the spores that have developed)
- 1x transparent grow bag with airfilter
- 2x paperclips
The substratum in the growbag consists of grain, vermiculite and agaragar. The development of the spores into the mycelium has been done in a sterile environment in a laboratory. The only thing that needs to be done to grow the magic mushrooms out of the mycelium is putting the grow box in a warm and humid environment. For this you use the transparent grow bag and the paperclips.
You will need acces to a cold tap water and a warm spot with a temperaure between 20°C en 25°C to put the kit to develop. Everything is explained in the included manual in a simple way. It also includes tips and recommendations to get the largest produce possible out of the kit.
How long will it take before the mushrooms will grow?
After the preparation process, which uses minimal effort and is done within the length of a day, your first mushrooms will pop out of the substratum after two weeks! Harvesting can begin a few days later.
How many magic mushrooms will I get out of the grow kit?
The growing process can be repeated several times, until the substratum is exhausted. The first flush (growing spree) will be the largest and the following flushes will be smaller and smaller until no mushrooms grow up anymore. Our kits have the largest harvest of all the kits we have tested. The average result after depletion is between the 300 and 400 grams fresh mushrooms when using the right growing conditions. If you take in account that the recommended dose is a portion of 15 grams fresh mushrooms, we will let you do the math!
When will I have the grow kit in my possession?
When we have received your payment before 5 pm, we will ship your order the same day. When we have received your payment after 5 pm or in the weekend, your order will be shipped the next working day. We use TNT Post services. They give an indication on the duration the delivery. This is between 2-5 working days to countries in Europe, but this is only a indication and it greatly depends on the local postal services in the country delivering to. Don’t worry! The mycelium in the grow kit can survive up to 14 days in room temperature before going bad!

What can go wrong with the grow kit?
Make sure to check on arrival that the content of the carton box is not damaged. The lid of the plastic gowbox should be fixed firmly and is closed with a plastic seal. When one or both of them are removed, contact us as soon as possible!
Make sure you read the instructions carefully and thoroughly before commencing. Then not much can go wrong. When you put your hands inside the grow bag, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly with soap to minimize the risk of contamination with bacteria and fungi.
The temperature should be right. Make sure that the kit stays between the 20°C and 25°C, also at night. When the temperature is higher or lower than this, the mushrooms will either grow very slow or not at all. Eventually producing less mushrooms than normal.
Do not put the grow kit in direct sunlight, because it will be too hot for the mushrooms to grow and the substratum will dry out, not producing mushrooms.
When the mushrooms are ripe, pick them right away.
